Hello all, the technology I found very interesting is called "Songr". The name stood out to me because I love music, all types of music. With Songr you can see music that people are listening to all over the world in real time and you can listen as well. You can also register and add music you are listening to so you can share it with the world. On Songr you can search for music by song title, artist, or genre. You can also see songs from this week, this month, this year or since the site was created. I believe that this site is a great tool for any music lover like me. I hope you will take a look at the site for yourself, even if you are not a lover of music like me.

LIVING MEMORY
Living memory is a site that you can go to and make a family tree, profile about yourself, and just a website to stay connected to friends and family. I found it very user friendly, yet was disappointed because it does NOT have a URL or anything, so I am still trying to figure out how to get it on here.
Living Memory "was inspired by the need to have a place where people can recored life's moments, family stories, important events and irreplaceable photos ("Life Catching)" is just one of the quotes I took from the 'about us' page.
On this site, you can upload photos, create a family tree, share stories and what was really cool about that part is that they ask certain questions. You're not 'impromtu' blogging, if you will. It will list a question and then provide you with points to that question as to more things to write about and/or questions to answer.
I first went to livingmemory.com and followed the prompts. The first page has 3 big blue buttone 1-Sign Up, 2-Take the Tour and 3-About Us. Then after signing up, you enter the details to become a member. I then just became comfy and added all kinds of photos. I am on that site as Jennifer Briscoe...another way of looking me up, you can use my e-mail JFlem27@msn.com. Please feel free! Again, it does not have a URL for me to put on here and show you. One cool thing I was able to do was add an event entitled "Kim Memorial Celebration"...now, I do not have any plans in stone, yet I vow to honor that day in someway special...my sister's first birthday with Jesus, HAS to be mighty special (for her) so I join in that celebration, and us as well knowing where she is.
Lastly, I would still love for some of us classmates to get together...I need an "A' out of this class and because of some of the tech skills I lack, I'm not always getting all the points I can, so S.O.S.!
Thanks and please check me out that way and try it for yourself. It really isn't that much different from myspace or ning (my family has a site on ning) yet the family tree thingie was cool!

Using RSS- like it or no?!
From the educational site...there were SO MANY articles and I really do not believe that they will be useful. The other sites (before reading directions clearly), were a lot more helpful. It is very unfortunate that I could not use those as the feed!
The technology site seemed alright...I loved the information it had regarding cell phones as well as computers!
The others were, indeed, useful because they were of everyday or every other day use to me. The celebreality one is a naughty past time, and I am not limited to VH1 either, because Bravo is moving right up the ladder.
Overall, I found myself intrigued. My ONLY dilemma right at the moment is my Ctr+ print screen button is not doing what it was supposed to do! Go figure...on my way back to that.

Podcast
I had a lot of fun doing this. I have to admit...this is my fifty-leventh attempt trying to get it on here AND writing about it. I do know I also commented on the experience on my podcast, as well. I cannot WAIT to see the finished project on here!
I loved doing this because I learned so much AND I am able to put recordings of my sisters and I (Spirit of Paradise) on my laptop. I am SO impressed!
This will be a wonderful tool in the classroom being able to capture even some of the everyday activities including children singing and dancing during some "free" time, I'm sure parents will be interested in seeing how their children express themselves away from home!

7 Things that I know are ALWAYS true about God
Praise the Lord. "I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on Jesus, Hallelujah!!!!" I decided to share with every person reading this blog things that help me during times of despair. One thing I do EVERYDAY is pray. That is the only way to maintain a relationship with God. Keep your mind stayed on Jesus to have perfect peace. Also, try to remember the things you KNOW are true about God and when the enemy tries to throw negative thoughts at you, don't let them stay....(example: _________ happened to you because of something you've done in the past. MAKE yourself understand the heart of the Lord...get clear in your mind the things that are always true about God and hold them alongside of what is happening in your life to see how they line up)
1. I KNOW God is a good God. *Good and upright is the Lord (Ps. 25:8)
2. I KNOW God is on my side. *The LORD is on my side (Ps. 118:6)
3. I know God's laws and ways are for my benefit. *The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.../ And in keeping them there is great reward (Ps. 19:9, 11)
4. I KNOW God is always with me. * I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Heb. 13:5)
5. I KNOW God wants me restored. *For you have delivered my soul my death. (Ps. 116:8)
6. I KNOW God's promises to me will never fail. *Your faithfulness endures to all generations. (Ps. 119:90)
7. I KNOW God is always the winner. *He shall prevail against His enemies (Isa. 42:13)

Who IS Jennifer/Blog Suggestions
Glad you asked! I am a God-fearing woman first. I am married and have been with my soul mate for as long as I want to remember :-)
I am a mother to 4 children, 2 of which are deceased, and step-mother to 4, 2 of which are grown. I am the guardian of my niece (who lost her mother, my sister on April, 15, 2009).
Born on the beautiful (or that's what I say it was) date of February 7th I came into this world with a perfect pitch to the key of whining. That fairly soon turned into singing which I've been doing for once again...as long as I can remember.
I was in a gospel singing group known as The Spirit of Paradise from age 5 to the present. We are now taking a well needed break still grieving the loss of our beloved eldest sister, Kimberly Latrice Briscoe. The group consisted of myself and 2 sisters. I am grateful to have recordings of our ministry because now that is all I have left. There were times that my nieces filled in to help us out, so my sister, Regina and I are contemplating going on...this, indeed takes time.
Some of you may have noticed that I wrote I am married yet my blood sister and I have the same last name! Well...here's the scoop: I married her husband's uncle, which promoted me from baby sis to AUNTIE Jennifer!!!! We used to get such a kick out of that! My sister used to tell me..."it must have REALLY bothered you to have a different last name than me." <---AS IF!!
So, currently I attend Promise Land Christian Community Church where I am voice coordinator for the adult choir, youth and male chorus. I thoroughly enjoy working with the all, especially our youth!
What else? OH....I've decided to return to school and get my degree. I'm SO proud of myself right now!!! I've been so determined that on everything I do I either say or write 'FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION' to remind myself of that very thing. I was in a car accident last Monday and fell behind in all my classes because I missed last week. I got discouraged for a minute yet choose to pick myself up, dust off...do current work this week as well as catch up from last week. I CAN DO IT....I know I can especially knowing the promises of God: I can do ALL things to Christ who strengthens me!!
This blogging experience was definitely out of site. I admit, I was kind of nervous seeing that I had to do yet ANOTHER power point!!! I am a recovering 'myspace' addict, so I knew how to post a blog....what I did not know was how I was going to do all of this and get it back on oncourse :-0! I would suggest to my fellow classmates to just do your best to make this fun and interesting. I LOVE when I have to write about my self...I believe this is the one subject I am most knowledgeable about and no one can tell me that the information is incorrect! How I do work in this class is I print all the instructions and just follow them step by step to ensure that I have EVERYTHING that was requested of me. Feel free to comment or ask questions...I'll help in any way that I can!
